"Captain Ebenezer Whitman , son of Ebenezer and Abigail Freelove Whitman
was born in 1765.
He was married in 1788 to Lydia,
daughter of Deacon John and Lydia Snow Whitman, she was
born in 1765 and died in 1826.
He was married on 28 March
1832 to Mrs. Hannah Latham who died on 8 July 1838.

He
was later married to Myra Coleman.
He moved, in about 1796, with his family and a sister
Abigail to Windsor, Massachusetts in the Berkshire
Mountains, near the Appalachian Trail. They settled on a
farm in the east part of the town, the journey of 100
miles taking 13 days. He died 5 November 1849 at the age
of 84."

children;1
- 1) a son born 22 September and died 8 October 1789,
burial in
Old Graveyard, East Bridgewater, Plymouth County,
Massachusetts.
- +2) James, born 25 July
1791, married 29 April 1812 Chloe Whitman, he died 11
December 1878, age 87.2
- 3) Lydia, born 7 November 1800, married 16 February
1837 Soreno Bliss of Savoy. She died 26 December
1876.3
