JANNET BROWN
Jannet BROWN waas born on August 14, 1802 in Southend, Argyll,
Scotland.
She was the daughter of Charles Brown and Elizabeth
Ralston.
She married Peter Ralston, son Thomas Ralston and Margaret
Picken, on January 21, 1820 at Southend, Kintyre, Scotland and
died in 1845 soon after the birth if Jane,

1863 in Belfast, she married William Fleming..
- Margaret, born April 26, 1824 at Homeston and died November
16, 1887 in Illinois, she married John Picken.
- Helen, born February 24, 1826s at Homeston and died an
infant.
- Thomas, born August 21, 1827 at Homeston and died April 23,
1879 in Illinois, he married Jean Ralston.
- Charles, born December 27, 1829 at Southend and died February
21, 1889 in Kansas, he married Evaline Jackson.
- Ellen, born July 24, 1832 in Campbeltown and died February 7,
1909 in Beloit, Wisconsin, she married David Andrews
- Janet, born September 17, 1834 at Campbeltown and died May 5,
1911 in Illinois. she married Archie McEachran.
- Peter, born at Homeston May 23, 1837 and Died February 23
1916 at Kansas.
- William, born at Ohio in 1842 and died at Illinois in
1853
- Jane, born August 11, and died August 21, 1845 in
Illinois.
Peter and Janet traveled with six of their children from
Campbeltown, Scotland in 1840 to New York on the ship "British
Barque Tay" and went to live with her brother, Alexander Brown in
Cincinnati, Ohio, and then to Illinois in 1843.
When Janet and Peter Ralston emigrated, they left their daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Fleming, at Campbeltown.
