This James McAffee was born about 1745 and died in 1814, with burial at Warrior Run, PA Cemetery. "McAffee's came from County Antrim, Ireland to the Colonies in about 1735, a family of weavers. Sinking Springs, (Berkshire Co.), Pa. is somehow connected in their history." 2 On 4 October 1770 he married Jane Durham. She was born in 1741 in Ireland and died in 1823.1 They had three children:3 +1) James; born 6 July 1771 who married Martha McMichael. 2) Mary; born about 1776 who married Capt. During the Revolutionary War he served as a Private in the Northumberland County Militia of the Continental Line. He is listed among those "Soldiers Who Received Depreciation Pay as per canceled certificates on file in the Division of Public Records, Pennsylvania State Library."5
